Summer Internship, 2012, iFactor Consulting, Tempe

There was a power outage in your apartment and it got restored." What happened behind the scene during the restoration period. Find out in this internship report which discusses about outage information flow and restoration process. In the summer of 2012, i accepted a full-time internship position with iFactor Consulting located in Tempe, Arizona. iFactor is a budding start-up geospatial company which focuses on outage management for power companies. With the internet and smartphone boom, there are services/products offered by utility companies; using which one can get notified of events like outages and restoration time via online maps or alerts like sms, emails etc. The report will give an insight into some of these latest technologies, services and many more.

Developed two currently active websites- one for the finance department to enable their clients and internal staffs to submit forms/proposals online; the other website was developed for the composite lab to enable students to take multiple choice test and report scores online.

Project: Mobile Document Management

Environment: Dot Net Compact Framework 2.0, Windows Mobile 6.0

Description: Build a third party Mobile Application and Web Site. Users from different company will be able to register themselves. Users will be able to download/ upload files from the third party server, edit their profile, Send mail to their clients and chat with their company employees.
